Many people know Chuck as the longtime label manager for and artist for Deep Dish and Yoshitoshi records. Indeed, in 1996 he met Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi and was immediately hired by Deep Dish to run Deep Dish Records and Yoshitoshi Recordings, but he is equally strong as a producer and live performer.
With first remix was released on Yoshitoshi in 1999, he found himself opening for Deep Dish at the infamous London underground institution “The End.” In 2001 his re-rub of “Falling For You” (for Nite Grooves/King Street) was picked up by Doc Martin for his “Mix The Vibe: Doc Martin - Sublevel Maneuvers” compilation. Chuck often rocked Baltimore’s fever and joined local legends Scott Henry and Charles Feelgood for their final. He was no stranger to the faithful at Washington, DC super-club Buzz, where he became a much beloved regular.
In 2002, after retiring from Deep Dish, Chuck devoted his attention to the studio in Washington, DC and with music and event production partner Luis Baro (from XM Radio), he created a series of events entitled “All About.” Notably, Jay J Hernandez, Brett Johnson, Demarkus Lewis, Lavish Habits (live), Lance Desardi, Justin Long as well as Louie Vega and The Elements of Life (live) lent their sounds (touted by many as one of the best house events EVER in DC!).
Currently Chuck is living in Chicago and running the labels division of the GrooveMedia Group where he controls the digital catalogs of contemporaries such as Felix da Housecat and Sébastien Leger. With quite a buzz coming from the studio he shares with Angel Alanis and The Lady Foursquare, we expect big things from this industry heavyweight.
