Put together by dance industry veteran producer Jere McAllister and his partner Vick Lavender, Mr. A.L.I. features an ever-changing, multi-cultural melting pot, of musicians. Anchored by the vocal stylings of, singer/songwriter, Carla Prather, the group showcases everything from Afro-Latin rhythms to soulful harmonies to a touch of Jazz. Mr. A.L.I is comprised of veteran musicians whom have played for artists such as, Miles Davis, Destiny’s Child, R. Kelly, Monica, John Legend, Common, Twista, Patti Labelle, and Roberta Flack. This band was created with the intention of bringing back a live element to the world of soulful dance music. With the fusion of Latin percussion, jazz and classic Chicago vocal house, Mr. A.L.I. has gathered dedicated fans including Michael Jordan, Cedric the Entertainer, Billy D. Williams, Lil Kim and Irvin Welsh (author of "Trainspotting").
