full Biography Graphic

With her first work earning the praise and attention of Felix da Housecat, this southern belle was encouraged to fly north to Chicago where she found no shortage of producers who shared his opinion.

With the unique ability to shift seamlessly between genre both as a producer and DJ, the Lady has found equal applause from the likes of Josh Wink, juke pioneer Gant Man and even the Crystal Method. Known first for her explosive, trick-laden DJ sets, her focus is shifting to production.

In 2008 she was signed to DJ Pierre’s Afro-Acid label alongside work from the master himself, Green Velvet and Paul Woolford. She joined her label mates in performing at the 2008 International Dance Music Awards at Miami’s Winter Music Conference.

She is currently working in the studio solo and with Noise/Floor Crew with Angel Alanis (her occasional tag partner) and Local Hero of Trash Menagerie. Their remix of Portishead’s “Machine Gun” became an instant underground sensation, heralded in the same breath as new work from Outkast and My Morning Jacket by New York Magazine’s blog, charted by Miss Kittin and a whole host of the who’s who of underground electronic music. Along with Angel and the rest of Noise Floor Crew, she has remixed Portishead's "Third" album in its entirety. Guest crew members/contributors include Flufftronix, War Games, 12th Dimension/Infiltrata, and Tittsworth collaborators ASiH and A Black.

Her first solo release for A-squared, Xcite Bike is receiving strong support from a cast of characters including Meat Katie and Dave Clarke will introduce this premiere solo effort on his Whitenoise Radio show which is broadcast worldwide from Amsterdam.

She has also joined The Bloody Beetroots, The Toxic Avenger and The Bulgarian in the No Love Lost Mixtape Project. The project presents cutting edge mixes from the top breakthrough acts at the bleeding edge of dance. Her mix is uniquely comprised of almost 100 percent original material or remixes and premieres in April of 2008.

She currently holds a monthly residency, bringing her unique turntablist fusion style to the Dust Traxx Crew at the legendary Boom Boom Room, which is regularly attended by crowds of up to one-thousand on Mondays in Chicago. Previous residencies include a weekly with hometown comrades Mark and Craig of the VHS or Beta DJ’s and regular rotations in 6 US cities.

When she’s not in the studio or on the road, The Lady serves as the Director of the GrooveMedia Group, which controls the digital catalogs of hundreds of top tier dance artists and labels exclusively for the world. Spring of 2008 has a solo project on the table for DJ Pierre’s Afro-Acid label, the Racecar imprint and a flurry of remixes for…well…just about everybody.
